Even in this digital age, paper dictionaries are always kept in schools, libraries, and other educational settings. In other words, places that can serve as evacuation centers. Focusing on the materiality unique to paper, we came up with a dictionary that can be used as disaster prevention goods in times of disaster. We designed the cover and contents of the dictionary, each of which can be used as a disaster prevention goods. To compensate for the shortage of paper during a disaster, the contents of the dictionary are made of soft paper that can be used as a substitute for toilet paper or tissues. In addition, the three covers become disaster prevention goods: a candle that can be used as a light, aluminum foil to protect against the cold, and a compressed towel that can be put back together with water. Introducing these disaster prevention goods as part of the class will raise disaster awareness among children and students. Buying a paper dictionary is itself a disaster prevention idea.
